Kia Magentis

. The new Kia Magentis is a clear statement of luxury...style...space...and power.

Surprisingly, Kia engineers started their quest for this new standard in refinement with the body shell. They made it stiffer, so its quieter and more sound absorbing - and a great deal stronger.

The smooth lines gives the Magentis a purposeful look. Step inside and the spacious and relaxing interior is equally pleasing. Its generously equipped with a comprehensive range of quality features as well as an impressive array of safety features including 6 airbags.

Beautifully crafted, the Magentis is built to last. Solid. Reliable. And backed up by one of the most extensive warranties you'll find. There's a choice of powerful petrol and diesel engines as well as manual or automatic transmissions.

It doesn't matter if you prefer performance oriented driving or long distance motorway cruising, there are ample reserves of power. The Magentis is the perfect expression of the whole Kia philosophy. Built to exacting standards. Its unashamedly a luxury. But a luxury you can afford.

ALWAYS INVITING TO THE SENSES

No matter what lies ahead on life’s road, travel just became a whole lot easier with the Kia Magentis. Offering star treatment for drivers and passengers alike, the Magentis is the high-powered saloon with added style and elegance. Rediscover the pleasure of effortless driving, as you commute to work, move through town between meetings or even on a trip to the supermarket. The Magentis combines good sense and a strong sense of individuality, offering an attractive package in today’s hotly contested executive car market. Every detail has been carefully thought out to promote your sense of comfort and well-being. All controls are within easy reach, the instrumentation is easy to read and ergonomically-designed seats with ample space for 5 adult occupants take the burden out of longer trips. The Magentis serves up ample storage options, such as the handy central storage binnacle with twin cup holders and the front centre armrest which features a cleverly designed storage box which has a 12V power outlet for charging accessories. Moreover, the higher grades include automatic climate control, leather upholstery, front fog lamps, heated front seats and rear parking sensors. To give you the perfect driving position, the steering wheel can be adjusted in tilt, height and even telescopically (on high grades) and the driver’s seat can be electrically adjusted in 8 different ways.

SAFETY CREDENTIALS

Safety innovation is at the very heart of Kia’s design philosophy and advances in computer simulation software coupled with massively powerful computer processors have accelerated that research. In the event of a collision, the precision engineered body shell of the Magentis is designed to crumple in a predefined fashion to absorb impact forces. The doors are also reinforced with ultra-high tensile strength steel bars to provide added protection. Enjoy peace of mind, knowing that you and your passengers are protected by the very latest safety features. The Magentis features twin front, side and curtain airbags and front active headrests, with ABS and EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution). BAS (Braking Assist System) with an Electronic Traction Control System on higher grades work together for an even more relaxed drive. A seatbelt pretensioning system with force limiters and an impact sensing door unlocking system round off the safety package.

EFFORTLESS POWER

The 2.7-litre V6 petrol engine was designed for a spirited performance (185bhp). With its 24 valves, this V6 achieves an outstanding power-to-weight ratio. For impressive fuel economy look to the 2.0-litre petrol engine (142bhp) for a balance of power and low consumption, thanks to its lightweight aluminum construction and CVVT (Continuously Variable Valve Timing) technology. Diesel admirers will appreciate the 2.0-litre VGT diesel (138bhp) with outstanding torque in the low-to-middle engine rev range. This Common-Rail injection engine is equipped with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger and a diesel particulate filter, so it complies with Euro 4 emissions regulations. For silk-smooth gear shifting the V6 is fitted with a 5-speed automatic and a sporty gate style gearshift lever that permits manual-style gear changes. The 2.0-litre diesel comes with a responsive six-speed manual gearbox, whilst the 2.0-litre petrol comes with a dynamic five-speed manual, but if convenience is your first concern, a four-speed automatic is also available. The diesel and V6 engines are available with the added benefit of cruise control, with buttons built into the steering wheel (on higher grades).
