NMG have been proud joint sponsors of Norwich Velo Cycling Club for several years and in 2012 decided to award two new trophies to the club, which were presented at the club’s annual dinner in January 2013.
Club Chairman Steve Swift said he was delighted with NMG's continued support and thanked Grant Long the Managing Director of NMG for his continued involvement and support.
The 2013 season should see some fierce competition for the NMG Sportive award, which last year was won for the inaugural time by Simon Lomax whilst the NMG Most Improved Rider Award was won for the inaugural time by James Browne. Shown here are Simon Lomax on the left and James Browne on the right who collected his trophy from the NMG showroom as he was unable to attend the gala dinner.

I offer him our hearty congratulations on this achievement. It is always very satisfying when your staff commits to higher learning and achieves national recognition.”

When a member of NMG's staff attended his son's fottball match on a Saturday he was shocked to find they had no proper football strip and naturally NMG stepped in. Shown here is Blofield United Under 8's in their new strip and NMG wishes them every success for the season.
When staff at NMG formed their own 5 a side football team with some friends, they cleverly called themselves after one of the most famous clubs in the world. Captain Greg Scriven said “The new strip will make us look even more professional, it’s a shame we won’t be earning the same salaries as the Real team, but we are currently fourth in the table and challenging for promotion”. The team plays in the Champion Soccer League and naturally NMG were happy to support their staff in this sponsorship opportunity.
Norfolk Motor Group is delighted to sponsor COSTESSEY SPORTS with two new football kits for this season. The team is shown here in their home strip.
Rainbow Nations (South Africa World Cup)
In 2009, NMG were proud to be asked to support the local schools in raising awareness for youth football in conjunction with the South Africa World Cup. A visit by the South African Team Captain Aaron Mokoena to Norwich Hellesdon High School for the Grand Final of the tournament was a highlight for the 100 children involved in the final matches. NMG provided medals for all entrants and also with Kia Motors, supported the Charity Rainbow Nations by sponsoring a new Kia Sportage for the CEO Amalia Hendricks to visit all the schools promoting the work of the foundation.
NMG also were lucky enough to host the World Cup Mascot Zakumi in the showrooms for children to pose for photos.

NMG sponsors this important Norwich based club (often imitated but not rivalled) as one of our staff Clive Rayner races for the club and has been an active member for many years. The club also is proud to have Olympic medallist and cyclist Emma Pooley as an honorary member, who in 2010 became British National Time Trial Champion, British National Road Race Champion, the first Brit to win the women's version of the Tour de France and then capped it all by becoming World Time Trial Champion in Australia.
His exploits include cycling through Europe and across the Pyrenees and in 2011the club kit and NMG logo will once again be seen on the slopes of the Alps, with Clive Rayner organising a trip for 10 members to tackle the famous climbs, including the Col du Telegraphe and the Col de Galibier, one of the highest mountain passes in Europe.
