Servicing

It is important to take care of your vehicle with regular servicing and maintenance, and occasional wear and tear repairs. This makes sure it stays safe and reliable, and when you come to trade it in, its resale value is protected.  Every dealer prefers a ‘full service history’ when taking part exchange, or even if you sell your car privately, customers will more readily purchase a vehicle with a proper documented history.

NMG Service Department has been established for 42 years and offers the full range of customer services from our modern well equipped workshops and MOT centres in Norwich. Our factory trained service adviser's, technicians and apprentices have a combined experience of over 245 years in the trade covering many franchises, with specialisation in our three primary franchises and 4x4’s in particular.

 

 

 

Service Department Opening Times

Monday to Friday the workshop is open 8:30am to 5:30pm

Saturdays 8:30am to 12:30pm

Sundays and Bank Holidays CLOSED

For customer convenience we are open for you to drop off your vehicle from 7:30am and last collection is 5:45pm Monday to Friday

Courtesy cars are available for a nominal charge and we offer a City Courtesy Bus (drop and collection times by appointment at service desk weekdays only)

As members of the Motor Industry Code Of Practise we abide by the standards set and this is not something we treat lightly. We invest heavily in training and equipment in our pursuit of excellence and first time fix wherever possible. Our parts stock holding covers some 10,000 product lines and we are able to order many parts for next day delivery if we ourselves do not carry the item on the shelf.

 

 

We recognise how important a person’s motor vehicle is to them in their busy life and work schedules and we will commit to do everything possible to ensure that the down time for your vehicle is kept to an absolute minimum. We also offer subject to advance booking, customer courtesy vehicles and we are open five and half days a week for service, MOT, repairs, tyres, parts and accessories.

With 2 MOT centres we can carry out MOT’s and MOT repairs while –u-wait and this includes a Saturday morning. We also have a franchise approved independent body shop at our disposal and they will arrange for your car to be repaired to manufacturer’s standards in the event of an accident or body damage. Estimates are supplied free of charge without obligation and they too will supply a courtesy or hire vehicle whilst your car is in for repair.

For smaller body and panel damage we offer a full range of "Smart Repairs", known as paintless dent removal, we can also repair interiors, dashboards, vinyl and leather seating, glass and brightwork, alongside refurbishing alloy wheels to bring them back to showroom condition. For a nominal premium this service can be offered with a 3 year guarantee and the work can often be carried out at your place of work or home, using our mobile service. In fact we offer a full range of modern facilities and services making your choice simple, with competitive pricing, special offers and our unique NMG Health Club and NMG Service Plans to boot, we do have something for everyone. All makes and models of motor car can be worked on and if we can’t deal with something we will soon tell you, or point you in the right direction.

  • We will supply original equipment parts and accessories on all new vehicles supplied and repaired during warranty
  • We can offer you a choice of original equipment parts or pattern parts when your vehicle is out of warranty
  • Your service history log will be stamped and fully completed, to enhance the future value of your vehicle.

How does our service plan work?

Based on your vehicle history we can establish a suitable monthly service charge, which you can pay by direct debit. On arrival for scheduled service work, your bill is paid from the budget plan in your name. This way you do not have unexpected costs to meet and areas of your budget are controlled. It takes the pain and hassle out of service costs and it is very flexible to suit your use of your vehicle.
